Managing your subscription
Upgrade, downgrade, cancel, or update payment details.

Upgrading
Go to /pricing, pick a higher tier, and click Upgrade. Stripe handles the proration automatically — you're only charged the difference for the remainder of the current cycle.
Downgrading
- Open Settings → Subscription.
- Click Manage Subscription — this opens the Stripe customer portal.
- Pick a lower plan or cancel.
Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep your higher-tier credits and features until then.
Cancelling
Same as downgrading — open the Stripe portal and pick Cancel subscription. Your features and credits remain until the end of the current cycle, then the account drops to the Free tier. Your charts, chat history, and university progress are preserved regardless.
Updating payment details
Stripe portal → Payment methods → add a new card or update the existing one. MingAI never sees or stores raw card data.
Billing issues
- Card declined — Stripe will email you. Update your payment method in the portal within 7 days or your subscription auto-cancels.
- Duplicate charge — this usually isn't — upgrades add a prorated charge separate from your next full cycle. If you're sure you were double-charged, reach out via Contact.
- Refund request — write to us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.
